I have been really into visiting new places in the area, just moved from Washington DC, and there was no authentic Mexican restaurant. And Taco Bell is not Mexican.
I heard about the place from a co-worker, I usually stick to tacos and burritos, but my boyfriend ordered a mariscos platter and chicken flutes.
The food: Amazing that's all I can say I could not get enough. The dish comes with a variety of fish and shrimp plus rice, beans and hand made tortillas.
The service was awesome the owner Luciano is very friendly and really cares about his customer.
The micheladas were delicious....
Definitely coming back soon -

Food is good, staff is really hard working and kind. I wish owners would let them turn on the AC, or at least the fan. Heat is also driving customers away.
My favorite items are shrimp and sopes. Shrimp cocktail needs a little more work. As shrimp lacked taste because of being frozen for long time. -

I have been wanting to come and eat their seafood plate, "mariscada" it was delicious great for a group appetizer or to share as a meal. We had some taco plate as well and they were also really good.
We also had some micheladas, and wine.
We sat outside due to a private event inside and really enjoyed our meal its very relaxing outside.
I definitely will be coming back. Servers were awesome, the owner was really nice and really took care of us. -

Some prerequisite information: I had just run 12.6 miles, and this was between the trailhead and my apartment. I was extremely hungry and just wanted to eat something massive and filling.
Given all that information, Las Muchachas did not disappoint. My favorite thing at authentic Mexican places is a carnitas super burrito, and they had that as an option (there's a food truck by my apartment that doesn't have carnitas), so that satisfied a craving. The burrito had a jalapeno in it, which I did not expect but quite enjoyed. Do be warned, though, if you don't love spicy. It gave the burrito a really nice kick and tangy flavor. The carnitas was good, but didn't provide a ton of strong flavor--Taqueria El Grullense on Middlefield in Palo Alto has a bit better of a carnitas. It was still good, though. The super burrito was only $8.67, which was even better (I feel like the norm is ~$10 in this area).
The burrito came with chips and salsa. The salsa had a kick, but the flavor was mostly just tomato, not a very complex flavor, but good. I will say--I am a bit of a salsa connoisseur, and I was a bit disappointed there wasn't a huge variety of salsas.
In terms of location, it's a nice quiet spot, tucked away from the San Antonio Shopping Center area or other busy areas. The parking lot was about half full on a Saturday night. The vibes inside are extremely authentic--Spanish spoken everywhere, lots of families eating there, etc.
Overall, I had a good experience. They're super close to my apartment, so I'd come back, especially since I am constantly craving carnitas. -

S/O and I came for lunch. The place was bit busy but we were able to be seated immediately. The interior is nice and clean. There's loud music playing in the background (Banda music) so be prepared to yell when talking to your S/O, family, or friends.
The menu has plenty of entreés, soups, and taqueria items. We decided to get simple items, Burrito mojado and their super nachos. It took a while to get our food but when they came the plate and food was very hot. Was it made to order or was it microwaved? Who knows.
My S/O's burrito was huge and had red/green sauce all over it. It looked really good but my S/O said it was "okay." My nachos were probably the worst I've ever tasted. I thought this place was pretty authentic until I saw that they used nacho cheese in their nachos. It was pretty gross and I forced myself to eat a good amount. It was probably the worst nachos I've ever had.
Drinks? There are no fountain drinks so be prepared to pay higher prices for individual bottle or canned drinks.
Service? It was okay. Our server only came by once and was pretty nice when we paid.
Parking? Extensive. They have their own private parking lot plus street parking.
All in all, I'd pass on this place. There's other taquerias within a mile of this place so check out the others before coming here.
